Ray Grinvalds

Mr. Grinvalds has over 30 years of diverse experience in the commercial real estate industry including investment, development, portfolio management, and capital markets. Ray is a former CPA, holds an MBA in Finance from DePaul University, and is an Illinois-licensed managing real estate broker.

Ray began his career in the public accounting firm of KPMG working with many high profile institutional real estate clients. For nearly 20 years, Ray successfully led the growth of The Prime Group, Inc., a major US real estate firm, which included real estate acquired and/or developed in all major commercial asset classes such as office, industrial, retail, multi-family apartments and senior housing located in all major markets throughout the US, as well as international operations. As a company board member, he held various positions with Prime including CFO, SVP of asset/development management, acquisitions, and capital markets. Ray led and structured the spin-off of four publicly-traded real estate investment companies at Prime.

During his career, Ray has also pursued entrepreneurial real estate investment and development activities in Eastern Europe, as well as in central Europe with GE Capital Golub. He also has been involved with the development of Transit Oriented Development communities in Chicago suburban locations with Teng Development, including a $150 million residential project in Lake County which he engineered from initial conception through rezoning, marketing, design, and construction.

He has also participated and advised in the development of a major Chicago high-rise mixed-use project with a leading international hotel operator. More recently, Ray has been working with Gottesman Company, a middle markets international Mergers and Acquisitions firm, serving business clients and private equity firms by advising and facilitating transactions in diverse industries.

Mr. Grinvalds is married with four children. His hobbies include most sports, especially golf and skiing. He is a Harley enthusiast and enjoys long trips to warm places.
